Furniture Hardware
This is a huge collection of mostly brass mounts,
finials, casters, etc both new and antique. Also a group of new
mahogany furniture finials (Chippendale, Federal), dozens of cabinet
and drawer locks, iron bed bolts, and much more. A lot of the brasses,
in sets, are new Lester Berry products of fine quality. Literally
thousands of pieces. All from the restoration shop of what was one of
the major antiques dealers in the country. Sold as a group, pick up. It

Exact reproduction of the original 1650 English
fireback,
depicting the Phoenix bird, symbol of resurrection and rebirth. Likely
this image is a reference to the newly installed Cromwellian
government, the revival of the rights of the common man in England
after the fall of the monarchy. Excellent new

(Coat-of-arms). English foundry. England, ca. 1740.
An
exact reproduction of an original English fireback of the 1740 period
of King George II, with his coat of arms and initials "GR" for George
Regina (King George). All fireplaces in the colonial period had
firebacks to protect the brick and beautify the hearth, as they should
do now. Excellent new condition. Cast

Netherlands, ca. 1670. An
exact reproduction of the original Dutch fireback of the Nativity
scene. Like early Netherlands firebacks, this is large and very ornate,
with shaped crest and decorated border. All fireplaces in the 17th and
18th c. had firebacks to protect the bricks and beautify the hearth.
This one is suitable for the very largest fireplaces. Excellent new
